"Eve Forever" Paintings and Drawings by Haydar Alyasiry

The Village Theater at Cherry Hill is pleased to exhibit "Eve Forever" now through April 29, 2018 featuring the work of Haydar Alyasiry.

There will be a Free Reception to celebrate Haydar Alyasiry's work at The Village Theater on April 9, 2018 from 7 - 9 p.m.

Haydar Alyasiry received his diploma from the Institute of Fine Art from Basrah in Iraq.  He has served as the Artistic Manager for Immigrant Papers Magazine, Caricaturist for Arab American Newspaper, Alqadisyah Newspaper, and Shams Aliraq Newspaper.  He also worked as an Art Teacher for Alhakimiah High School for girls in Basrah.  His exhibitions have been on display all over the United States including; Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit, and others.

Mr. Alyasiry also holds honorary degrees from Farmington Hills Our Community Heritage, American Society of Portrcuture, Arab American Heritage Council, and Radio (E.O.F.) WNZK 68 AM. 

He is also a member of Iraqi Society of Artists, Arabic Caricaturists-Syria, Union of Iraqi Artists, Portrait Society of America, American Society of American African Artists-Michigan, Society of Hispanic American-Detroit, and (Qatar Group) for fine art.  He is a founder for the Iraqi Association of Iraqi Artists in Michigan and (Albab) theatrical group-Detroit.

 Eve for eternity is the theme for Haydar Alyasiry's exhibit.  To the artist, Eve is the woman, mother, sister, wife, daughter, friend, it is a country homeland, birthplace, identity, love, life, support.  It his love and respect for woman; it represents every aspect of live and giving with generosity.

Mr. Alyasiry expresses through his paintings and portraits his love and passion for his motherland, his roots from Iraq, and memories that traveled with him to his new homeland, America.  Haydar Alyasiry hopes you enjoy this colorful journey; forever Eve is eternal.

This current art exhibit at the Gallery@VT is free and open to the public: Monday – Friday 10 am – 2 pm, one hour prior to and during public performances at the theater, as well as by appointment.  The Gallery@VT is closed on holidays.  The gallery is located at 50400 Cherry Hill Rd., Canton, MI, 48187.  For more information about this latest exhibit, please call 734/394-5300.
