Looking for a new hobby? Always wanted to try something different or improve an existing skill? Canton Leisure Services has a wide variety of enrichment activities to broaden your horizons and improve your lifestyle.

Classes and seminars are offered to fit many schedules and interests both on site at the Summit on the Park as well as at various locations throughout the community.

Choose from subjects like ‘Basic Sign Language’, ‘Cake Decorating’ or ‘Soap Making’; Learn to dance like the stars or celebrate the amazing wine and food Michigan has to offer! Improve your artistic skills with a watercolor or oil painting class. Tempt your family’s taste buds with cooking classes sure to make their mouths water.

Needle Work

  • Cherry Hill Quilters and Needle Crafters: Meets weekly on Wednesdays 10 - 2 pm at the Village Theater. Call 734/394-5308 for details.

Inclement Weather Policy

If the Plymouth/Canton School District closes due to inclement weather during the school year (typically due to winter weather conditions), all Leisure Services Department programs/classes held prior to 4:00 pm will be canceled. For Leisure Services programs/classes that begin after 4:00 pm a determination to cancel will be made no later than 2:00 pm that day.
